Just wanted to post real quick this morning about vbs, its been a great blessing this week. We have had a few more children each night. There has been such a sweet spirit in the church with the children. The greatest part 2 gave their life to Jesus last night!

Jackson memorial service

Tomorrow morning there is expected to be 1 billion people yes I said 1 billion according to CNN that will show up in LA to Michael Jackson’s memorial service. 1 billion people now maybe I heard that wrong maybe it meant 1 million I am not sure but even if it is 1 million that amount just amazes me, here is why. We live in a world today, I live in a community that getting people to come to church to here about Jesus is like asking them to go to the dentist and get a tooth pulled without any pain medicine. Why? Why is it that we as a society will go camp out and stand in line for a ticket to a funeral for Jackson but don’t want anything to do with the Word of God. Think about it.

Faith is something that I wish I had more of, I want to have the faith to allow God to use me with no strings attached. I mean I don’t want to say God use me but, no buts! Just have the faith to allow God to use you!

The Eye

Todays verse if the daya comes from Matt. 6:22-23, in this verse Jesus tells us that the eye is the “lamp” of the body. What does that mean exactly? The eye allows certain things into our life. It seems that every where we turn today there are things that are opposite of what God is wanting us to see. Lets try today to focus of good things, things that God would be pleased with us allowing in our life. Eph. 5:1 says “As dear children be imitators of God”, lets try and do that today.

I am listening, as I type this, to a message being preached by Chuck Swindoll. He is one of the preachers that I really love to listen to, along with several others; anyway todays message is about glory, the glory of God. Have you ever thought about that word…”Glory”. Just what does it mean? What comes to mind when you think of the glory of God? Just something to think about.

Morning all! It has been such a long time since I have used this part of the web site, I don’t know why i haven’t blogged I just haven’t. Anyways things are well in the Willard house. Misty back in school, kids enjoying summer, I guess all is well. My plan for this blog this time is just to write about any and everything that is on my mind, it may be God it may be anything really! Last night we had a great time at the redbirds game with some of our church family, we actually have a great time going to see the ball games. Well everyone have a great day!
